Inside the ‘Great Mosque’ with Syrian Rebels – Aleppo

Free Syrian Army ‘Al Tawhid’ brigade members patrol in the old market (souk) and inside the Great Mosque or the Umayyad Mosque they took only few days ago from Assad regime soldiers, in the center of Aleppo, Syria, on March 16, 2013. The mosque was built in the beginning of the 8th century. And its most ‘recent’ part was achieved in 1090. The prophet Zacharie’s shrine is located inside.
